How To Participate
During the CEOP update, Johnson County Emergency Management and Homeland Security (JCEMHS) will coordinate with private, public, and non-profit entities. JCEMHS has also announced its plans to connect the public directly to this update through a blog, podcast, and two public meetings. JCEMHS understands the importance of the public role in emergency preparedness. Therefore, during this update, JCEMHS will hold two public meetings addressing concerns and questions about the CEOP. This page is your link to the CEOP update. To participate in the public emergency planning meetings, follow the link below. To the left are the Emergency Support Functions (ESF) being reviewed by JCEMHS. You are welcome to review these ESFs and all relevant information. Response Organizations
Over the course of the next year, JCEMHS will be coordnating the update of the County Emergency Operations Plan (CEOP). To do this, JCEMHS will be developing 15 multi-disciplinary/jurisdictional planning workgroups to address each of the Emergency Support Functions (ESFs). If you represent an organization that is involved in disaster response in Johnson County and have an interest in participating in the development of the CEOP, we encourage you to participate in any of the planning workgroups. The links to the workgroups can be reached on the left according to the ESF you are interested in. Each ESF link will have the most current draft, news, and information pertaining to each workgroup.
